“I’m a middle-aged man and I have always been pretty active in my life. I like to run and do some light strength training. I ran my first marathon at age 41. Over that past few years, my exercise regiment has been pretty stagnant and monotonous. I am definitely not the fittest person in the world, but at my age I need to maintain my health. I joined other workout facilities that were opened 24/7, but the motivation to plan out my routine and get an effective workout without spending 1.5 hours in the gym was just another thing on my busy plate amongst all my work travel.
My wife and I decided to tryout this Groupon for Total Body Boot Camp (TBBC) and see how this can change our workout lull. Wow, the classes are only 30-minute! Can you really get a good total body workout in this time? The first workout was extreme! My body really didn’t know what to think. It was used to steady and consistent moves. Needless to say, the next morning I could hardly move, my muscles were so sore. I thought, “OK, maybe 30-minutes is TOO much.” Once I could feel my legs, I went a couple days later. Totally different routine this time. Now, my upper body was in pain for a couple days. That said, I have been going to TBBC for just over a year for 4 times a week and the routines are always changing, and my body performance has improved significantly (strength and cardio). I am still not the fittest person in the world (I’m ok with that), but I feel so much healthier and more energetic. Dave Nelson and team are fun and knowledgeable about fitness, but most importantly very welcoming and accommodating. They have workout schedules for the most important parts of the day, and I don’t have to schedule an appointment to workout. Just show up!”
